The Riverside City Fire Department is a Partner with the California Fire Prevention Organization. Operating with an active Memo of Agreement, CFPO has engaged with Riverside to develop a fully featured fire prevention education and awareness program.

Services provided by CFPO include:

  • A new website for public education (www.mysaferiverside.org)
  • FREE smoke alarms
  • FREE CO detectors
  • Neighborhood canvassing and free smoke alarm installations
  • School visits and creation of a “Junior Fire Inspector” cadre of students
  • Collaboration with Riverside Fire and a school for the deaf
  • A public safety fair
